Chapter 2

"So Mr Stranger or... Mr Husband, how are you feeling after meeting me?" Yoongi asked.

Jimin said nothing, because the Yoongi sitting in front of him felt so different, so distant, and so far away from the Yoongi he had known years ago that it almost felt like he was looking at a stranger wearing a familiar face.

The past version of Yoongi was a quiet, cute boy who listened to everything Jimin said.

But this wasn't that boy anymore.

This was the storm Jimin had created.

Yoongi sat on the chair like he owned not only the hospital building, but also the air Jimin was breathing in that room, his presence dominating, making it hard for Jimin to feel comfortable even for a second.

Jimin never thought he would one day feel dominated by Yoongi's presence.

His fingers tapped slowly on the desk, one tap after another, while his mouth stayed curved in a mocking smile that showed he was enjoying this moment more than he should.

"Mr. Husband... how are you feeling after meeting me again?" Yoongi repeated, his voice lazy and careless, like he had all the time in the world and like hurting Jimin was just another thing on his long list for the day.

Jimin didn't answer immediately. He just looked at him, really looked at him, taking in every detail he could not ignore anymore.

Seven years had passed, and Yoongi had changed so much that it almost felt unfair to Jimin. The jawline was stronger, the eyes sharper, and the innocence that once lived on his face was completely gone, leaving nothing soft behind.

All Jimin could see now was the revenge burning in him, the anger and the hate that Yoongi wasn't even trying to hide anymore.

But everything felt worthy at this point.

Finally, Jimin exhaled slowly, like he had been holding his breath for far too long.

"Feeling good seeing you successful,"
he said simply, keeping his voice steady, even though only he knew how heavy his chest felt at that moment.

Yoongi laughed once, short and hollow, without any real humor in it.

"Yeah? Because you hated my childish side, right? Or was that just your excuse to walk away? So now I'm something you can't catch."

Jimin blinked, his jaw tightening as the words hit deeper than he wanted to admit.

"Think whatever you want... You know I can't change your thinking."

"Oh, I know many things now,"
Yoongi leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table, his smile slowly turning cold, "like how someone can play, pretend so well."

Jimin clenched his fist behind his back, his nails digging into his palm, but he said nothing, refusing to give Yoongi the reaction he was clearly waiting for.

Yoongi smirked wider, clearly enjoying the silence and the discomfort he had created.

"Am I right, Park Jimin?"

"You came here to handle your hospital or fight with me? Because fighting with you never gave any answers," Jimin replied softly, his voice calm but tired, "it only left more pain."

Yoongi's eyes twitched for just a second, so small it could have been missed by anyone else. But Jimin saw it. And just as quickly, Yoongi covered it with arrogance again, straightening his posture like nothing had happened.

"Pain teaches, doesn't it? You taught me well."

Both of them stayed silent, just looking at each other, their eyes filled with pain and the love that had never truly left their hearts, no matter how much time had passed.

Both of them wanted to step forward, wanted to close the distance and pull the other into a hug, but instead, they both looked away, breaking eye contact at the same time like it was the only way to survive this moment.

Before either of them could say anything..

"Jimin! We need to check that post-surgery patient's.. " Namjoon walked inside, speaking quickly, before stopping mid-sentence the moment he noticed the man sitting there.

Namjoon.

Yoongi stared at him, recognition hitting instantly, because he remembered him very well. Of course he did. He had always been Jimin's good friend, or maybe he still was, who knew anymore.

Namjoon's eyes widened. "...Yoongi?"

Yoongi leaned back in his chair, his face going blank again, that cold smile returning to his lips like a shield.

"Hello, Namjoon. Long time. You look... older."

Just Namjoon. No Namjoon Hyung like he called 7 year's ago.

So what exactly happened that made Min Yoongi this much bitter, who was known for the most sweetest person once.

Namjoon scoffed lightly. "We all grow up, Yoongi. How are you?"

"Fine. Busy. Owner things, director things, things you wouldn't understand," Yoongi said plainly, his eyes briefly flicking to how close Namjoon stood to Jimin.

Namjoon raised a brow. "You became rude, I see. I see big change."

"Some things need to change according to time," Yoongi said, his eyes cutting toward Jimin for just a moment, "and some didn't change at all. Depends on what hurts more."

Jimin took a slow breath, clearly trying to end this strange and uncomfortable tension filling the room.

"Namjoon hyung, let's go. We have work."

Namjoon nodded, then looked at Yoongi once more. "Welcome back to Korea, Yoongi. Try not to burn the hospital on your first week."

Yoongi smirked. "Don't worry. I only burn what belongs to me."

The words hit Jimin harder than any scalpel ever could.

Jimin turned quickly toward the door.

"Let's go, Namjoon Hyung."

As they walked out, Yoongi's voice followed them softly, not loud and not dramatic, just quiet enough to reopen an old wound that had never truly healed.

"Running again, Jimin? You're still good at that."

Jimin stopped for half a second, his steps faltering just slightly...
but he didn't turn back.

Hearing his name come from Yoongi's mouth felt strange and wrong, especially when it replaced the nickname Yoongi used to call him once upon a time.

Yoongi sat there alone, staring in one direction, completely zoned out, his mind drifting back to the past, thinking about how things were back then... and how different everything had become now.

At night, Yoongi was still sitting in the same cabin,, because he hadn't left the hospital at all. He wasn't planning to leave either.

His mind was busy, already moving several steps ahead while the rest of the hospital slept.

He sat there with papers spread across the table in front of him, contracts open and stacked neatly, while his lawyer stood nearby, explaining everything quickly and professionally. But Yoongi barely reacted. He didn't blink. He didn't nod. His eyes were glued to one specific page, reading it again and again like it was the only thing that mattered in the world.

His smirk hadn't left his face since morning. Not even for one single second.

"Everything is finalized, Director Min," the lawyer said. "These documents confirm that the old Park estate in Seoul is legally under your name."

Yoongi picked up the last paper slowly, his fingers steady as his eyes scanned every word carefully, as if he wasn't just reading legal terms but deciding someone's fate with every line.

He leaned back in the chair after finishing, his shoulders relaxing slightly as he exhaled, slow and cold, the kind of breath that carried no hesitation or doubt.

"When I decided to destroy him... I meant it. I will even snatch the ground from under his feet."

The lawyer swallowed hard, his throat suddenly dry, unsure whether he was supposed to respond or stay silent, because the look on Yoongi's face made it clear that this was not just business.

Yoongi closed the folder with a firm motion and stood up from the chair, straightening his coat like a man who had already won.

The smirk on his lips only deepened.

"Let's go," he said calmly. "I want to see my house."

The car stopped slowly in front of a huge mansion. Golden lights glowed softly against the dark night sky, tall pillars stood proudly at the entrance, and the marble steps shined like they were polished every single day.

Everything looked expensive, everything screamed rich, power, and old money.

But tonight, nothing about this place was the same.

Tonight, the owner had returned.

Yoongi stepped out of the car dressed in black from head to toe, a black high-neck sweater hugging his frame, a long black coat falling perfectly over his shoulders, and black pants that made his presence look even more sharp and controlled. He didn't dress like a visitor who came to look around. He dressed like a man who came back to take what was always his.

Once, when he was just eighteen, he had entered this same house believing he had finally found a family, believing he had people he could call his own. Now, after seven long years, he was stepping inside again, not as someone who belonged emotionally, but as the legal owner, with burning hatred sitting deep inside his chest.

The lawyer walked behind him, holding files tightly, his steps careful as if he could already feel the tension waiting inside.

Yoongi pushed the door open without any hesitation. He didn't ring the bell, and he didn't knock, because he didn't need to.

He walked in like he owned the walls, the stairs, the air itself.

Because he did.

The moment he stepped inside, memories hit him hard, crashing into his chest without warning.
The house.
The memories.
The man he loved.
His best friend.

That was when..

Someone appeared at the staircase, walking down casually, until they froze the moment their eyes landed on Yoongi.

The next second, the person jumped the last three steps and ran straight toward him.

"Yoongi hyung!!" the man shouted, his voice too soft, too emotional, shaking with relief and disbelief.

It was Jungkook.

His best friend once.

But Yoongi didn't move.
He didn't open his arms.

Jungkook wrapped his arms around him anyway, pulling him into a tight hug, his body trembling slightly as if all the emotions he had buried for years were finally coming out.

"I missed you, hyung... you didn't call, you didn't text, nothing for seven years.."

Yoongi gently pushed him away.
The push wasn't harsh, but it was cold.

The Yoongi who fought world for his bestfriend now acted like he barely recognise him.

Just enough to make it clear that the heart Jungkook remembered no longer existed in the same way.

Jungkook blinked, hurt flashing across his face. "Hyung...?"

Yoongi didn't reply.

"How are you Yoongi Hyung..." Jungkook asked, his eyes scanning Yoongi from head to toe, taking in the sharp clothes, the cold posture, the unfamiliar aura.

"You grew alot.. you look so different now," Jungkook said with a small smile, trying to sound normal.

Yoongi looked at him with no expression at all. "You also grew up, Jungkook. Good. People grow when they don't have anyone left to depend on."

Before Jungkook could say anything, footsteps echoed behind him.

Jimin walked out from the hallway.

His eyes widened for half a second, shock flashing across his face, maybe fear too, though even he didn't know exactly what he was afraid of.

"What the hell are you doing here?"
Jimin asked.

Yoongi didn't look surprised at all.

He took one slow step forward, every movement expensive, arrogant, powerful, like the space around him bent easily to his presence.

"What am I doing here?" Yoongi repeated softly, a smirk forming on his lips.

"Interesting question... for someone living in my house."

Jimin's brows pulled together.
"Your house? Stop joking, Yoongi. This house belongs to my family."

Yoongi laughed once.
The laugh that made it clear he was dead serious.

He motioned for his lawyer to step forward.

The lawyer opened the folder and placed thick papers carefully on the glass table.

Yoongi stepped closer to Jimin.

"Read."

Jimin didn't look at the papers at first. He only looked into Yoongi's eyes.

The document was old but legally updated.

Jimin finally picked it up and started reading.

Property Owner: Min Hwan & Min Sora.
Legal Heir: Min Yoongi.

The color drained from Jimin's face in a second.

Yoongi watched that moment like he had been waiting for it for years.

"This house was never yours, Jimin,"
Yoongi said, his voice calm but sharp enough to cut. "It was my parents'. After they died, everything transferred to me. Automatically. Legally."

Jungkook looked between them, confused and tense. "Hyung... you mean... "

"Yes, Jungkook. This mansion... belongs to me," Yoongi said without breaking eye contact with Jimin.
"Every corner of it. Every room. Every brick."

His eyes briefly moved over Jimin.

Jimin clenched his jaw, breathing hard for a second.

"WHAT THE FUCK."

"I'll check other documents," Jungkook said quickly and ran upstairs.

Yoongi stepped forward again until there was only one step between him and Jimin.

So close.
Yet so far.

"Now I take what's mine. Now I remind you what you threw away."

Jimin exhaled sharply.

"Yoon.."

The name slipped out without his realization.

Yoongi raised his hand immediately.

"Don't."

The lawyer stood awkwardly behind them as the tension in the mansion grew, like fire spreading slowly.

Yoongi looked around the house, his eyes cold.

"Pack your things."

Jungkook came rushing down the stairs holding a pile of documents, disbelief written all over his face.

He handed them to Jimin.

Jimin read them and closed his eyes slowly.

Yoongi was right.

Jimin stepped forward, furious.

"You want us to leave? We will," Jungkook said, his voice shaking as he looked at Yoongi like he didn't recognize him anymore.

"No...." Yoongi said shortly, like there was more left to say.

"Wait, i have something more intresting" Yoongi said with smirk like he was enjoying the game leading towards destroying park Jimin.

Jimin took a deep breath, fists trembling.

"Why are you doing this?"

Yoongi's voice dropped low, almost too soft.

"Because you taught me how it feels to lose everything," he whispered.
"Now you will learn too."

Jimin's throat tightened.
He didn't look away.
Neither did Yoongi.

Jungkook stepped between them, panicking.

"Hyung, stop.. please.. you both.."

Yoongi looked at him, expressionless.

"Stop?" Yoongi laughed mockingly. "Really Jungkook after this all?"

His voice sounded so hurt that it hurt even more.

"Guys i know you guys still love each.."

Yoongi cut him off.

"Not anymore.. i hate him..."

Jimin said nothing. Nothing at all.

"We will leave.. let's go Jungkook," Jimin said, forcing strength into his voice, refusing to let it crack.

Yoongi stepped closer, lowering his voice. "You think running fixes anything?"

"Sometimes... distance protects people," Jimin whispered.

Yoongi stared at him, and something in his expression hardened, not anger, but something desperate.

"You can't go," Yoongi said.

"What you really want Yoongi Hyung?" Jungkook asked, confused and desperate.

Jimin swallowed.

Yoongi exhaled sharply and rubbed his temple before sitting on the couch, while Jimin and Jungkook remained standing.

"Fine."

Yoongi leaned back in the couxh, arms crossed. He looked bored, like this whole conversation was wasting his time.

"Let me make this simple for you, since you clearly don’t understand how this works."

Jimin frowned. "What?"

"This house is in my name. Mine. Not ours." He said it slowly, like Jimin was stupid.

"For 7 years you’ve lived here for free. Under my roof. Under  my  name."

Jimin’s jaw clenched. "So kick me out then."

Yoongi laughed once, it was humour less laugh. "Please. Do you have any idea what happens if you storm out right now?"

He stood up, walking slow circles around Jimin.

"The second you leave, I file. Desertion, property division, the whole thing.  And in Family Court? They’re going to ask why the husband left the matrimonial home. They’re going to ask what you contributed in 7 years.  They’re going to drag every dirty detail of us in front of a judge."

Jimin froze. "You wouldn’t."

Yoongi stopped right in front of him, looking down. "I would. Try me."

The air went tight. Jimin looked away, and for a second he looked cornered.

Yoongi’s voice dropped.

"Here’s what’s going to happen. You’re going to stay...."

Jimin stared. "You can’t force me to stay here."

"I don’t have to force you," Yoongi smirked. "You’ll do it yourself.
Because the alternative is you walking out that door and spending the next year in court watching lawyers cut this marriage to pieces. And we both know you’ll lose."

Jimin's lips trembled. "Why are you doing this?"

Yoongi answered almost in a whisper.

"Because I'm your husband, Jimin. That's not a title you can throw away in one night."

Jimin had no words left.

"It's you who push people when you don't need them so now you get this Jimin... Make yourself ready to get burned in my hate."

"You pushed me seven years ago, didn't you say come back and face me when you become something. So, here I am. Here is the storm you created so why don't you want to face it now?"

Jimin's eyes filled with tears, but he blinked them back harshly.

"So I have to stay for 6 months?" Jimin asked, his voice empty, no anger, no hate, just a fragile chance... maybe.

He never thought Yoongi would return. He kept telling his heart that Yoongi would move on, find someone else.

But here he was.
After seven years.

Yoongi looked at Jimin's face, at his eyes trying so hard not to water, and it hurt more than he wanted to admit.

What was the past?
What really happened?
